GIRLS SUMMMER PROGRAM
"The Ct Cardinals announce the opening of registration for our Girls' Summer teams on Wednesday February 1st. Girls will be able to go our website to register and pay a 200 $ non refundable deposit by charge or check to confirm their spot on one of our 2012 summer teams.
The teams will be largely grade based but final placement will depend also on skill level, physical maturity, and experience as our staff will endeavor to put all of our Cardinals Girls' on a team where they will improve their skills and level of play, build lasting positive relationships, and, most importantly, have fun. Tentative placement on a specific team will be adjusted during the first week of practice once we see all the girls on the field; however, all of our teams will have exactly the same schedule of practices, competition, and tournament play.
We are notifying our Cardinals families with girls who have participated in our past programs and helped our program grow so rapidly to give them the first shot at spots on this summer's teams. The club lacrosse environment has changed in that teams are now formed and commitments now made to tournaments much earlier in the year, so we urge you to sign up now before the teams at your age level fill up.
Our summer schedule for all teams begins the week of June 11 will include about 10 weekday evening practices (typcially 2 per week), 1 or 2 scrimmages, and four regional weekend tournaments concluding with the Bitter Lacrosse tournament in Stowe, Vt the weekend of July 21/22. This Grand Finale should be an exciting event as we are bringing all fifteen of our Boys and Girls teams to the same beautiful venue for a great weekend of lacrosse.
The fee for the summer program, which includes all tournament fees and a game gear package, is 700$ for players registering and depositing by March 1st, and then 795$ for players signing on after that. If you have questions about the summer program or concerns about the suitability of your daughter for the level of competition of our tournaments please contact Rick McCarthy and Holly Wheeler via email.
