Summer Program Update
** Boys Teams; We have nearly completed the process of contacting players selected for our continuing teams ( White, Purple, Gold, Red, Maroon, and Silver) and have just started the process of contacting players for our emerging teams (Green, Blue, Bronze, and Orange). All these are competitive teams playing the same summer schedule, however, the continuing teams have a higher percentage of players who played on that team last summer.
We are still evaluating whether we have enough younger players for developmental teams .If you do not hear from one of our coaches this week it means that you have not yet been selected. We will be taking a look at the players participating in our Winter program for some remaining spots.
In addition, we expect a number of spots to open on all of our teams as we move forward so please let us know if you would like to remain on our wait list. We fully understand that because some players had unavoidable conflicts on tryout dates and because we had such large turnouts it was difficult to get a full evaluation of every player wanting to play in our program and we will continue to work with players and families to provide as many qualified and committed players as possible an opportunity to be with us.
If you have heard or do hear this week from one of our coaches that he has selected you please follow up promptly to confirm your spot. Your coach will provide information as to how to confirm your spot by Registering for your team (not the same registration as the tryout) and paying a non refundable 200$ deposit. This year, we are required to commit financially to our summer tournaments by the first of the year so it is vitally important to establish our teams early on. Please check your summer schedule and make a considered, serious commitment to Cardinals Summer Lacrosse; your deposit will lock in the early bird fee of 700$ for the summer. Refunds will only be made for documented injury.
After January 16th, we will begin to reopen spots not confirmed and players confirming after that time will pay the full summer fee of 795$. Of course, we will work with any of our Cardinals families that have special situations, please contact Rick McCarthy personally and directly to make specific arrangements.
** Girls Teams; We will commence the process of building our Girls Summer teams during our Winter Program and continue the process this spring as we hear from Girls who have been part of our program in the past and new girls who are being recommended by their spring team coach. We anticipate sponsoring teams at the Varsity, JV, Freshman and Middle school levels.
